The BSHA was saddened to hear of the passing of David Ringer in early October.

David was a highly respected horseman, racehorse trainer and long-serving judge for the BSHA and several other leading societies. With his extensive knowledge, experience and expertise, he was a familiar and respected figure on the county show circuit, at HOYS and at RIHS from the 1970s onwards.

Known for his impeccable presentation, distinctive style and straight-talking nature, David was admired for his horsemanship and commitment to fairness in the judging ring.

Family was hugely important to David, and his legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

The BSHA extends its sincere condolences to David’s family at this sad time.
