LONDON INTERNATIONAL SHOWING SERIES
SUPPORTED BY HORSE & HOUND

The pathway to London for all BSHA members

ABOUT THE SERIES

The London International Showing Series supported by Horse & Hound gives all BSHA members a chance to compete at the London International Horse Show.

From its launch in 2023, the series has evolved from a purely amateur and home produced series to a wider catchment of members. The London International Showing Series brings together both Rising Star and Open classes.

Qualifiers are held throughout the season at local and county shows with the aim of encouraging new people to get involved with showing.

The London International Showing Series encompasses a range of classes which cater for all members, yet with a strong emphasis on amateur and home produced competitors with over 70% of the classes being Rising Star, meaning only amateur competitors are eligible.

The London International Showing Series has its own rule book which is independent from the main BSHA rule book and can be found here. Competitors are encouraged to ensure they fully understand the rule book ahead of entering any qualifiers for the London International Showing Series.

If you are unsure which class might be suitable for you and your horse, we’ve put together some helpful information on how each of the classes are judged and the types of horses which are suitable.

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR LIHS

Direct qualification

In any London International Showing Series qualifier, being the highest placed competitor in the top five who has not qualified will mean direct qualification for the final.

As a minimum a LIHS Qualifier-Eligible Membership and Horse Registration must be in place to compete in any LIHS BSHA Showing Series qualifier class.

Qualification will be confirmed in writing by the BSHA office. Upon qualification, the correct level of membership must be in place within 14 days of qualification.

Wildcard qualification

A wildcard scheme will be run throughout the BSHA London International Horse Show qualifiers.

Points will be awarded at each qualifier and following the completion of the 2026 qualifiers, the competitor with the most points in each section who has not qualified for the final will be awarded the Wildcard Qualification.

For more information on the Wildcard Qualification, please see the 2026 London International Showing Series Rule Book.
