Roger Stack 1938 - 2016

04 January 2017

undefinedIt is with real sadness that the BSHA has recently learnt of the sudden death of its great friend and former Chairman and President, Mr Roger Stack. Roger died peacefully at his home in Forest Green, Surrey on the morning of Christmas Eve.

Roger will be well known to many as the former great Showman and Producer, latterly going on to become the Showing Director of Hickstead.

Who could forget some of his great Show Horses like Granstand, Georgie Wells, Tyrone and Willy Griffin. Long associations with his owners were a particular trademark, along with his ability to work with the more difficult and challenging animals. Often the “go too” man with a problem you just couldn’t solve; even the greatest of equestrians sought Roger’s advice on numerous occasions.

Roger will be greatly missed but fondly remembered and Showing has been so lucky to have been graced with his presence.

There will be a strictly private funeral with a memorial service to follow in due course.
