BSHA Board Disciplinary Hearing

At a recent BSHA Board Disciplinary Hearing, with regards to
the Social Media posting made by Mr John Bland, the Board of the BSHA found
that Mr Bland had breached the Association’s Social Media and Internet Policy
(Rule 14 of the BSHA’s Rule Book 2016).
As a result, the Board has imposed the following penalties:
- A reprimand
- A fine of £300.00
Mr Bland has also written letters of apology to the Judges’
concerned and in his submission to the Board of the Association said:
“this Facebook post
was done in the heat of the moment and I agree it was unprofessional behaviour
on my part, for which I apologise”.
This matter is now closed.
