Nupafeed Supplements is once again, generously sponsoring the Amateur Points Awards in 2019; this is the 9th year of the Nupafeed Awards.
The Amateur Points Awards competition is open to Members of the Association who are registered as Amateurs and Points Forms can be obtained by using the link below;
Hacks, Cobs & Riding Horses:
For Hacks, Cobs & Riding Horses there are eleven categories and a horse may be entered in more than one category; simply tick the categories you wish to enter and then complete the section on the back of the Points Form as you do each Show.
This year, for the first time, the Hunter section has been split into four categories; Ridden Hunters (weights), Small Hunters, Working Hunters and Side Saddle; points can gained in HOYS Hunter qualifying classes and points added to the Hunter Section on the Points Form.
The Side Saddle category is one section, open to both the BSHA Ladies Show Horse and the HOYS Ladies Side Saddle classes.
Points can only be added to your Points Forms when it is the same Horse/Rider combination; another Rider can ride the horse during the season but no points can be allocated to the Points Forms.
There is a special award for the Amateur Rider who gains the most points at the BSHA Hunter/National Championship Shows. To be eligible, these points must be submitted on a separate National Championship Amateur Points form; the can be obtained from the Show Office or by clicking the link below:

Anyone not able to attend the BSHA AGM 2018 to receive their award, please send a large SAE to the office; thank you.
Once again the Amateur Points Awards were kindly sponsored by Nupafeed Supplements UK; this is the eighth consecutive year that Nupafeed has sponsored the Awards and our thanks goes to Mrs Sheila Noble, Director of Nupafeed UK, along with daughter, Samantha, who was at the 2018 AGM to present the Awards to the well deserving Amateur Members.
The Overall Points Champion for 2018 went to Avril Bartolomy and Clantara Shadow Play who repeated their win of 2016 & 2017; they had another very successful season in the series, once again winning the Open Maxi Cob, Home Produced and National Championship points sections of the Nupafeed Amateur Points Awards. Avril was presented with the Nupafeed Trophy for the Overall Points title and a Nupafeed Saddle Cloth for the National Championship title, kindly donated by Nupafeed Supplements UK.
The Open Hack section for 2018 was won by Sarah Lindsey, riding her own Up and Running, with the Reserve spot going to Lucinda Haines and Colbeach Mark of Respect.
Annette Hance won the Open Cob and was third in Home Produced section with her Heavyweight Cob, Kincullen Moonstone. This duo enjoyed a successful season with a fourth in the Amateur Heavyweight Cobs at the Royal International Horse Show and wins at Moreton-in-Marsh and The Royal County of Berkshire shows.
Another successful partnership in the Nupafeed Amateur Points series was Heather Rothwell riding her own Large Riding Horse, Happy Valentines; Heather won the Open Riding Horse and was Reserve Champion in both the Home Produced and Overall categories, a great achievement.
Carole Luxton, riding Mrs J Hayes' Cwmdovey Fintans Foxy Lady, won the Working Show Horse section, and Carole made the long trip from Devon to Leicestershire to recieve her award.
Congratulations must go to all Prize Winners of the Nupafeed Amateur Points Series and special thanks to Nupafeed Supplements UK, for generously sponsoring once again in 2018.
